University of Toledo = Free Application

With Georgia's Apply to College Month here, the University of Toledo is able to offer an application fee waiver code for Georgia students through at least the end of November. Students can use the Fee Waiver Code UT1872 for a free application on either our Institutional Application or the Common App. We review applications on a rolling basis, so are typically able to render a decision within a week or two of receiving it, transcripts, and test scores (if students choose to submit them, as we are test-optional). Our application is very straightforward and doesn't require essays or letters of recommendation (unless a student is applying for a special program such as our Honors College or BACC2MD medical school pathway).

In case you aren't already familiar with the University of Toledo, here's a few quick points that make us stand out:

  • Around 94% of our students receive scholarships

  • Students who have a 3.0+ GPA are eligible to receive automatic Merit Scholarships

  • Students with a 3.5+ GPA also receive the In-State Tuition Rate

  • We use students' cumulative and weighted GPA when awarding Merit Scholarships

  • In addition to our Merit Scholarships, we offer a wide range of major specific and foundation scholarships that students can apply for via our General Scholarship Application once admitted

  • We offer 130+ majors and are well-known for our programs within Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Law, Business, and Visual Arts, to name a few.

  • We offer the only undergraduate program in the country for Cosmetic Science & Formulation Design, which allows students to study the art, science, and business of cosmetics and complete an internship

  • Many of our programs require students to complete internships, and we are one of eight universities in the US to incorporate paid internships as a part of our College of Engineering programs (all engineering students graduate with a year's worth of paid industry experience)

  • We are a mid-sized public university with around 13,000 undergraduate students who represent over 90 countries

  • We have a 20:1 student to faculty ratio

  • We offer Division 1 Athletics and are a part of the Mid-American Conference (MAC)

  • There are 350+ student organizations on campus, including a number of club sports/intramural sports, community service organizations, and Greek organizations (including all of the Divine Nine)
