Live Mas Scholarship
We're looking for the next creators, dreamers and innovators.
Remember when you were little and people used to ask you, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” Your answer was probably something completely unfiltered – a fireman, an actress, a chef. You had no preconceived notions about the world or what you were capable of doing. Then you grew older, and right around the time when your passions and talents started to crystallize, so did your understanding of the system and society's expectations. Ultimately, this may have altered your path away from that very thing you were most passionate about all along.
We know today that the roads to achievement are as varied as you are. However there remain fundamentally only two roads which enable young people to find financial support toward their dreams: academic excellence and athletic achievement. It's been that way for 100 years and it has not changed.
It's a wrong against young people that we feel needs to be righted. What about the "other" kids - the creators, the dreamers, the innovators? The ones who know what they love to do, but don’t know how to turn it into their life’s work? The ones who today don't have a scholarship to help them on their path to success?
At Taco Bell, through our Taco Bell Foundation, we've supported the dreams of young people through education for more than 20 years. Now, we want to specifically ensure that any young person with a dream has a chance to pursue it with the help of higher education. That’s why we created the Live Más Scholarship.
The Live Más Scholarship is not based on your grades or how well you play sports. No essays, no test scores, no right or wrong answers. We’re looking for the next generation of innovators, creators and dreamers – whose post-high school education we will help fund.
The Taco Bell Foundation will be awarding 220 scholarships to deserving recipients this year, with $1 million in funding available annually. To apply, visit www.livemasscholarship.com to learn more.
With the Live Mas Scholarship, our hope is that young people everywhere have the courage to pursue their dreams with the confidence of knowing someone else believes in them too. After all, that 100-year-old notion of success being solely based on test scores or athletic performance is, well, so 100 years ago.
