Last Friday, we announced the Lehigh Commitment—a pledge to make a transformative Lehigh education even more accessible for scholars from all backgrounds. All admitted students with a family income of less than $75,000 (and typical assets) will receive the Lehigh Commitment full tuition grant.
What is the Lehigh Commitment?
Full Tuition Coverage: Students will be provided with a grant equivalent to, or greater than, the cost of full tuition.
Funded Opportunities: Lehigh offers many existing programs to support the academic success of its students:
Career Preparation: The Center for Career and Professional Development provides support for students with career education and professional development, and provides opportunities for students to connect with employers and alumni through mentorship, internships and interviews. In addition to the new Lehigh Commitment, we have met the full demonstrated need for admitted students—regardless of family income—for the last eight years, and have increased the number of merit scholarships that we have offered to admitted students. More than 30% of the admitted students for 2023-24 year received a merit scholarship of $15,000 or more per year. There is no separate application, or earlier application deadline for the majority of our merit scholarships—only an application is needed for our Performing Arts scholarships in music, theatre, and our Soaring Together Scholarship Program. If you have students that are interested, please know that Lehigh provides an application fee waiver to any student for whom paying this fee is a hardship. They can select “I have been given a fee waiver from the Office of Admissions” in the Lehigh supplement to the Common or Coalition Application. You're always welcome to reach out to the Office of Admissions at admissions@lehigh.edu, or the Office of Financial Aid at financialaid@lehigh.edu. Please let us know if you have any questions, and we look forward to reading applications from your students soon! Best Regards,
Bruce Bunnick Director of Admissions
